Project Narrative

This Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Contra Costa County is set to replace the outdated existing EOC. It will house a training lecture hall, as well as a planning/media center and office space for the sheriff’s department. A unique and important feature of the facility’s design is its ability to operate independently for up to a week if a natural disaster or crisis event occurs that incapacitates the city’s utilities. When complete, the building is targeted to achieve LEED Gold certification.
