Cielo, a $33M Development in San Diego, CA, has 76,000 square feet of rentable space with 70 apartments in a mix of studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom apartments. The building was designed with sustainable planning in mind, primarily through the inclusion of a large lightwell that provides natural cross-ventilation and natural daylight to both sides of all of the residential units.

The design includes abundant operable glazing systems throughout the building to enhance the natural light in all spaces as well as strengthen the sensual connections to the San Diego Bay. Our steel prefabricated moment frame reduced construction time by 3 months to cost-effectively achieve the desired modulation and flexible unit planning.
