ConXtech’s 2nd UC Merced Project is Rising!

We’re thrilled to share exciting progress from the University of California, Merced Medical Education Building, a project that will bring much-needed medical training facilities to the Central Valley.

This 4-story, 203,500 sqft. facility will be home to future academic and research breakthroughs and will house:

  • The departments of Psychological Sciences and Public Health
  • The Health Sciences Research Institute
  • Allied healthcare-related programs (developed in partnership with community colleges)
  • A range of medical education and general assignment learning environments, including specialty learning spaces for anatomy, medical simulation, and a clinical skills training center.

Simply Sustainable: ConXtech is also proud to be a part of the sustainability story for this project. To ensure Buy Clean California Act (BCCA) compliance, ConXtech sourced our steel from the most sustainable mills to ensure that we contribute to reduction in embodied carbon.

The Facility complies with the University of California Sustainable Practices Policy, which establishes goals for green building, clean energy, transportation, climate protection, facilities operations, zero waste, procurement. Supporting UC Merced’s carbon neutrality status, the building will be run entirely on clean electricity, without the use of natural gas.
